Christmas Eve & Christmas Day Pictures

What a fun time for the girls this Christmas. This time around it was all about family. They had such a great time with all their Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

December 25, 2005 - Merry Christmas!

(Clockwise from L-R Michelle, David, Charlotte, Bob, Lexie, Milenko, Dan, Debbie, Bella, Nicholas & Christian)

Merry Christmas from The Dugorepec Family! Last night Debbie's family got together and celebrated Christmas Eve as a big family. This is the first time in years that we've been able to get the entire family together for a family picture. Just think, in 8 weeks we even have one more to add to the "family picture."

Christmas Eve started at 6pm with a nice dinner. The adults sat at one table and the kids sat at a little table to eat - at least they sat down long enough to drink a juice box, eat a piece of bread and then run wild in the other room.

After dinner everyone opened presents. Bella's favorite gift was the horsies Grammy got her. Lexie's favorite gift was Bella's horsies. Nicky's favorite gift was the Choo-Choo train from Grandpa and the gross eyeballs from Grammy. Christian didn't have a favortie gift - instead, he left Michelle one just before they had to go. Boy was it a stinker!

Grammy spent the night and when we woke up this morning, Bella and Lexie were so excited to come down and see her - presents? Who cared about those? They did that stuff last night. Grammy was more important! The kids opened up the rest of the gazillion presents. Both of the girls received bikes from Santa and Bella got a Cinderella Big Girl Bed. Their favorite toys are still the Barbie's and the Horsies. They have lots of new "Barbie" clothes to dress up in. They're having such a blast.

At 4pm we're heading over to Milenko's sister's house for Christmas dinner and .... more presents. Lexie's not going to want to have a birthday in 11 more days at this rate. Presents are becoming boring. ;-) We'll upload all the pictures of the day to Shutterfly tonight/tomorrow and put the link on this webstie.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Dear Santa - Friday, December 23rd

Today Bella and Lexie wrote letters to Santa Claus. With a little help from Mommy and a couple of words feed into their brains (like what Santa was actually getting them), they came up with some pretty fun lists. Here's just a copy of the list for each of them - without their beautiful artwork to Santa Claus:

Pee-Pee Update, Wednesday 12/21/05

Bella is actually on the road to using the potty on her own. Today she told me "Mommmy, I need to go pee-pee." In the whole 30 seconds that it took me to get over to her, she finished in her diaper - however, it's the thought that counts here. Hopefully we'll have a trained potty girl by the time #3 comes along. Wa-hoo!

Bella's having a little trouble distinguishing the difference between telling us she has to go potty from actually going potty. Good news is that everytime Bella goes to the potty and sits on it, Lexie wants to do it too. Who knows, we might have double the luck and get them both potty trained before #3 comes. Less than 9 weeks to go.... Hey, it's the time for miracles. It could happen.

The weather sucks here today. We went to McD's to have lunch with Donna & Alyssa but didn't get a chance to have all the fun since it started raining. The kids hate being couped up in the house all day long. Thank goodness for Barbie videos. Bella's favorite movie is currently Barbie - Swan Lake. She dances like "Princess Barbie" and dresses up like her all the time. Today we got Barbie - The Nutcracker. More dancing Barbie for her to enjoy. Funny thing - the other night when Milenko and I were home she comes up to me and says "Mommy, Barbie has a big butt!" Maybe we should switch to Lion King again so she doesn't think that the ideal person in Barbie...

Tuesday Morning: 12/20/05

Well,

Everyone is feeling alot better in the house. Good thing as the magical day of gift giving approaches. I get as excited watching the girls' eyes light up as they open their Christmas gifts.

I heard a rumor that Bella may have sucsessfully used the potty on her own last night....

Friday, December 16th

Our family is a little under the weather. Bella probably caught it at preschool and gave it to Lexie. Daddy caught it next because he just can't stop kissing those girls. Mommy caught it after that - not from kissing Daddy, she kisses the girls too.

Milenko had to take off work on Thursday because he was so ill. Debbie is doing really bad today (Friday) and fortunately the kids are being on their best behavior. That means they must be on the road to recovery - finally.

Looking at the calendar, we were sick the last part of December and almost all of January last year. Hopefully we won't have to postpone Lexie's 2nd birthday due to illness this upcoming year. Her birthday is on January 5th - so close to Christmas. I guess we'll start thinking about what we're going to do the day after Christmas. That's when we settle down again.

Have a good day. Keep warm and stay healthy! (Maybe we should take our own advice!!!)

December 13, 2005

Nobody slept last night except for Lexie. The colds have become a little worse than yesterday and now Milenko & I are feeling a little under the weather. It could be because of lack of sleep though. Bella woke up at 2:30 this morning and kept demanding our attention until somewhere in the 4am hour. We tossed and turned the entire time and never fell back to sleep. Milenko got up at 4am and went downstairs to play on the computer because he couldn't sleep anymore.

Although there wasn't much sleep last night, Bella did make it to preschool this morning. Hopefully she'll be nice and tired by the time she comes home from school. I'll give them a little soup and send both of them off to bed. I'd like to take the time to study for my exams (they're at the end of the month) but I think I better get some rest too. Let's just pray that Child-to-be will let me take a little nap without having a soccer tournament in my tummy!

Here's a cute picture of Bella & Lexie doing the "Oompa Loompa" dance at Baka & Deda's house on Thanksgiving.

Birthdays Past, Present & Future

Bella just turned 3 in November. She's quite the big girl now!
Lexie is going to turn 2 in January. She's so independent that she seems much older though.
Cede & Beamer just turned 1 at the end of September.
Baby #3 (no, we didn't find out the sex of the baby) is due in February 2006.

December 12, 2005

Let me see if I can make this a little more interesting than Milenko's blog....

Today started off late. Lexie & Bella both have colds. Lexie woke up at 8:30 with her hair stuck to the dried snot on her face. Bella asked me for a tissue just as she sneezed and showed me this green slimy thing coming out of her nose, almost touching her chin. As for me, I was able to take a shower last night and so I went to bed with wet hair. It made waking up for me quite funny looking. Either I had great sex and didn't know it or I stuck my hand in an electrical socket. Last night was the first night in a long time that I actually slept well. Child #3 inside of me allowed me to sleep in a little. What a nice surprise!

It's almost noon and Lexie getting crabby. Bella is playing quietly by herself upstairs which means she's probably making dooie duty for me. We tried the potty training thing yesterday but weren't successful. Since neith of the girls feel well today, I'm skipping the training until later.

Off to administer echinachia gummy bears and cold medicine now. Milenko and I should be sick as dogs by Friday with our colds that we'll catch.

Christmas Time!!!!!

Trying to get a good picture for this years' Christmas card. . . .

Monday Morning: Dec. 12th, 2005

I'm at work today...obviously because it's Monday. My foot hurts...top of my left foot. I some how dropped a log on it while chopping firewood last night. I'm wearing loafers today so it doesn't hurt as bad as lace-up shoes would. I tried to put on my Mephisto walking shoes and my Ecco low-top boots this morning and it hurt waaaay too much....I'll live anyhow.

Lunch today is egg-salad sandwhich and a drinkable yogurt; cookies and a sweetroll were breakfast along with a cup of coffee this monrinig before I headded out to work.

Hopefully Debbie will post some more pic of our kids later this week....or maybe I will.

Cheers!
