March Madness #3 - Daddy's Birthday

DECORATNG THE CAKE

Bella & Lexie put sprinkles and other colorful decorations all over Daddy's cake. Mommy helped put the chocolate frosting on the cake first so the sprinkles would stick.

Lexie (above) and Bella (below) had to lick a spoon with some chocolate frosting on it. The results: Messy Children!

The final result after putting on the candles.

Bella & Lexie color the birthday sign for Daddy to see when he comes in the front door. Bella & Mommy went to the grocery store and when we bought the cake mix and the frosting, we also picked out some birthday balloons. Bella thought Daddy would like the "Nemo" balloons the best. Of course Mommy needed to get extra balloons because both of the girls would want a balloon of their own as well. (Lexie put down her balloon to take a nap and to go to sleep last night. She's still dragging it everywhere she goes.)

Lexie & Bella help Daddy blow out his birthday candles. Lexie gets so excited when someone screams "yea" and claps. She gets so into it. Bella was just so happy that she was able to help Daddy blow out all those candles.

March Madness #2 - Tea Party

TEA FOR TWO

Mommy came upstairs the other night to check on the girls. She found them sitting in the middle of the floor having a tea party. Daddy sneaked a camera upstairs and we snapped a couple of quick pictures of them before they noticed we were in the room.

In order for them to have a tea party, Bella had to climb up her dresser and grab the picnic basket of porcelain tea cups & plates off the top of the dresser. The way she does that is by opening the dresser drawers like stairs and climbing her way to the top. She gets in trouble for doing that usually but this was such a priceless moment that she didn't get a time-out or a spanking this time.

March Madness #1

Our 3 Girls
Lexie, Lauren & Bella hang out in Mommy & Daddy's bed. We haven't a clue what Bella's doing with her fingers. Probably showing us the boogies on her fingertips from her cold.

Pretty Bella
Bella gets into a funk every once in a while and wants Mommy to do her hair. This is a hair clip she found and insisted that Mommy put her hair up in it.

Lauren Grace is Growing
At almost 5 weeks old in these pictures, Lauren is growing up way to fast.

St. Patricks Day Parade
Bella & Mommy watch the clowns go by at the St. Patrick's Day parade in the picture above. We were right at the beginning of the parade so we got to see all the marchers right when they started. It was a beautifully sunny day and the kids loved the entire festival. Lexie got to wear her new glasses so she was a happy camper!

March Update

So we're into March already and so far, having 3 kids isn't all that bad. We've heard the horror stories and the warnings of no sleep and no control - but for the most part, we've been very fortunate. Here's the update: The weather SUCKS! It's rainy, cold, windy and it's hailing every now and then. Granted, it's not a blizzard and it's not a hurricane but it's not the typical warmth from California. Here's our backyard in the last hail storm - click on any picture to enlarge it.

Rainy weather, cold weather, it doesn't matter. My kids will eat popsicles any time of the year. Since I don't have the luxury of tossing them in the swimming pool or hosing them off outside, they get "Tub Pops". I haven't got Lexie mastered on the art of eating a popsicle in the bathtub so she gets a lot of bubbles with her treat.
Lauren is pretty much doing the same thing everyday. Besides being stuck to the boob, changing diapers, changing clothes that have spit up all over them, this picture below shows you her favorite thing to do.Now these are just the cutest pictures in the world. Lauren is a little over 3 weeks old in these pictures. I couldn't pick just one so I'm putting a bunch of them on here so you can see why I can't choose just one.

Lauren turns a month on the 14th of March. She's been the best baby so far. Although Bella was a pretty great baby, Lauren is just wonderful. With all the screaming and yelling around our house, we're lucky that she's tuning most of it out. Bella is still helping us do EVERYTHING with Lauren. Her favorites are grabbing diapers for me or pulling up a chair to watch me bathe Lauren in the sink. Lexie has even started coming around a little. From time to time she'll ask me if she can hold the baby. It doesn't last 10-20 minutes like it does with Bella but the fact that she's interested in pretty awesome. Lexie has trouble saying Lauren so we've adopted the name "Lolo" for the baby. It's a cute little term of endearment that I hope doesn't last too long. ;-)
